South Devon Bass Bumble promoted by the lure forum
A great Bank Holiday week end in Challborough South Devon trying to catch the Bass

The wind was all wrong and from the North producing flat seas
Around here South Westerly winds are required to turn the fish on
Arriving on the Friday I spent my day fishing the river Avon on the flooding tide,

It really looked good for the bass but I didnt connect
Instead sea trout were running the estuary and changing to a Hokkaido Spin Jig I was getting numerous follows…

Eventually one connected but didnt stay on long enough for the photo
Great fun though

The next day a well organised event with over 60 people participating hit the coast.
Wrasse on soft plastics were the only fish which co operated and i managed to get one measuring 40cm off the front of Burgh Island on the incoming tide on a Molix Larvae

Its a great Soft Plastic with plenty of mass for casting but a great action.Fishing with no weight is key.
A great thanks to Nick Bennett who organised the bumble and a great thank you to all the kind people from the lure forum who I met
He was rewarded with a nice bass on the Monday when the weather changed to a nice south westerly

Its a great way to get into Bass fishing wuth lures and i know they are being organised across the country
Drop into the forum for a peek
